Pininyahang Manok Recipe Del Monte Ingredients:

2 pounds chicken legs and thighs
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 inch fresh ginger, cut into thin strips
1 can Del Monte pineapple tidbits, with reserve syrup
1 medium bell pepper, diced
1/2 cup coconut milk
1/2 cup water
1 piece chicken bouillon cube, crushed
2 tablespoons fish sauce or patis
1/4 teaspoon peppercorns
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
salt and pepper

How to Make Pininyahang Manok Recipe Del Monte
1. In a skillet, saute onions, garlic, and ginger in oil over medium heat for about 5 minutes.
2. Add in the peppercorns and chicken pieces. Cook for 10 minutes or until tender and brown on all sides.
3. Add the water, chicken cube, fish sauce, salt and pepper to taste then simmer for 15 minutes while uncovered.
4. Mix in the pineapple tidbits with syrup, coconut milk, and bay leaves. Simmer for 10 minutes while uncovered.
5. Add in the bell peppers and cook for another minute while covered.
