My mom found this really cool recipe where you can make miniature apple pie’s look like roses. It is real easy to make and doesn’t take much time. You can be eating these in less than an hour. Here is the recipe if you would like to make them:

Ingredients you will need:
*Apples: Gala or green apples work best, you want them tarty
*Pie Crust or Crescents : You can make homemade or store
bought. If you use crescents thin it out quite a bit. The pie crust
does turn out prettier though.
*Powered sugar
*Apricot Preserves
*Muffin pan
*non stick cooking spray

*To begin you will want to preheat your oven to 350 degrees and
then spray muffin pans with the non stick spray.
*Wash your apples and then cut into half and cut out the core.
Then slice into thin slices.
* In a microwave safe bowl pout about 1cup of water.
*Add 1/4 cup cinnamon, 1/2 cup sugar, and apple slices into bowl
and stir but do not smash.
*Microwave for about 3-4 minutes. You want them soft to make
it easier to roll. Now let them cool
Meanwhile… Get out your crust
*Flatten out your crust and cut into rectangles.
*(optional) Take apricot scrub and water and spread onto slices
of crust. If you opt out sprinkle sugar onto the crust.
*Sprinkle cinnamon onto crust strips.
*Add apple slices onto edges of strips like shown in the video and
then fold crust in half.
*Roll crust and apples and place into spray pan.
* Repeat until all roses are done

Place into oven. Times may very but it took us about 20 minutes so just check them every 5 minutes or so to make sure they don’t overcook.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar while they are hot and then let cool for only 2-3 minutes then use a spoon (not anything sharp or you will cut into your rose) and remove them. If you let them cool off in the pan too long the cinnamon mixture will cool and stick to the pan and ruin your roses :(.

Once the roses are on your serving platter and cooled a little longer sprinkle just a tad more powdered sugar and serve.

Tastes wonderful with a scoop of vanilla ice cream!!
