3 cups sugar –
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla –
6 eggs
1 ½ cups milk
3 ¾ cups flour –
1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon baking powder –
¾ teaspoon salt –
Shortening –

BUTTERCREAM –
400g sugar (approx 1 ¾ cups) –
8 large egg whites
1lb (454 g) unsalted butter, room temperature
1 teaspoosn pure vanilla extract –
1/2 cup water
1 x 350g jar Smuckers Seedless Raspberry jam –
Wilton Red (no taste) Icing Colour –

MODELING CHOCOLATE
6 oz white chocolate –
¼ cup clear corn syrup –

SIMPLE SYRUP –
1 cup sugar –
1 cup water
