French toast Tuesday ??? When I was growing up, “special” breakfasts in our house consisted of either pancakes, waffles, or french toast. I’ve kept the former two in in my adult breakfast routine, but french toast has been more or less forgotten! Brought it back this morning (oh heeeyy ???♀️), and used my fave new sweet oat bread from @thesolacompany ☺️. It’s super soft, slightly sweet, low glycemic, and suitable for the keto diet, if that’s your (sugar-free) jam ?.
#whatsonmyplate: classic vanilla-cinnamon french toast ?? to make, combine 1 egg + 1/2 cup almond milk (or almond milk creamer) + 1/4 tsp. cinnamon + a splash of vanilla in a bowl. Dunk each slice of @thesolacompany sweet oat bread into the egg-milk mixture, until coated. I’m a pan, heat 1/2 tsp. vanilla bean ghee until hot. Add bread and cook until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. •• sautéed spinach w/ red pepper and parm •• crispy ghee-fried egg •• avocado w/ EBTB seasoning.
