The 2018 Pizza and Pasta Expo in Atlantic City, New Jersey, was a great show. Our client/friends at Fine Folk Pizza, in Fort Myers, Florida, won 1st place in the Caputo Cup’s traditional category. Congratulations Fine Folk Pizza!
There were four divisions: Traditional, Non-Traditional, Pizza Napoletana/STG and Gluten-Free. Pizza makers from throughout the U.S. baked off in front of a panel of judges on both days of Pizza & Pasta Northeast.
Competitors brought their own dough and ingredients and then assembled their pizzas in view of the audience. Then the contestants explain how they made and baked what the judges tasted.
Besides the Pizza and Pasta competitions there were many great seminars and demonstrations by some of the industry’s top experts. Roaming the show floor, you could find so many cool products and services with over 150 different booths. Our booth was very busy with a lot of people interested in Detroit Style Pizza.
Pizza Today and all the others involved did a fantastic job putting together an amazing show. This year was only the second year for this show and we look forward to participating next year. Make plans to attend and we will see you there.
